I am writing this journal for me, and anybody from our club that wants to read it, or write in it. I will keep my observations here, and my  attempts to get better. I will post some of the pictures I am taking, some videos of players (only with permission of course), and some tips I am learning. I will also have my "venting" board, where I, or you, can just express what we are struggling with, or how mad we are that we lost... again, or something like that. (:-)
English is my third language, so forgive my mistakes, and I will appreciate any corrections. You can e-mail me at [email protected], and I can post your thoughts here.

A little about ourselves

June, 2015
We are a small gathering of table tennis players.  We are all about getting better, having fun, and supporting each other in our desire to grow as table tennis players. We can do it thanks to two wonderful people in our club: Joe Newgarden, the inventor and producer of Robo Pong, and Roger Dixon, our coach, friend, always willing to help. At this point we don't have our wonderful location on Teal drive, but we hope to have a new space soon. But for now, roughing it out, in a warehouse in Hendersonville. Recent News

9/10/2015 Harrison came back from New York, where he trained for two weeks with Sameh. He improved so much that he beat for the first time in life Yevganiy. I wish I saw that game. Today Roger set up a couple of tables in Newgy's warehouse, and I got to see Harrison play with Malte. David trained with Roger. I was so happy to see that we are starting to play again. I miss everybody, and can't wait to have a facility with more tables and good floors so we all can play like we did at Newgy's club on Teal Drive.

I miss our old Newgy club. I went last week to train a little with Yev, and played with couple of people. I am on a verge of totally giving up on my forehand. I just don't feel it. I understand what the coaches are telling me, I can see myself doing what they are telling me to do, but it's like my body does its own thing anyway. So the outcome? I feel totally stupid. It's like... how many times they have to tell me the same thing, and I am not getting it. Yet, I keep thinking that there must be a way that I can learn.

My heart goes to all the people that suffered due to 9/11/2001 brutal attack on America's innocent ones. Life goes on, but I know that your pain of losing your loved ones will always be there. I wish I could ease that pain for you.

When I watch people like Yev, Harrison, Slawek, David, Malte, Roger, it seems to me like they are so comfortable with their strokes. I wish I had their brains and abilities to learn so quickly, and just get it. Yet, I have to keep reminding myself that I am on my own journey. I am so thankful for any hint I get from them, and especially thankful for Yev.  As of next week I will start training with Yev again. Yev is an exceptional teacher. I can't wait to start.
